The Best RTS Release For 2010

Blizzard Entertainment has done a great job keeping the long awaited best RTS release of Starcraft II under wraps and even Blizzard's vice president of game design "Rob Pardo" said in a recent interview that he was surprised how well the project was kept in secrecy right to the end.

Starcraft II being the anticipated best RTS release for 2010 is a huge hit in South Korea where players of the original Starcraft have been subject to huge competitions resulting in sponsorships, television contracts and amazing tournament prizes. Starcraft's most popular players in 2005 reported to have fan clubs with over half a million followers and revenue generated through winnings of more than $200,000 for a single player.

It was announced in April of 2010 that the best RTS will be available in a standard or collectors edition and will be available as a direct download shortly after the game is released. The collectors addition is said to include a 2GB Jim Raynor dog tag styled flash drive containing the original Starcaft, Brood War expansion, soundtrack, artbook, behind the scenes dvd, comic book and redeemable codes for content downloads.

The best RTS will be released in three parts and has a variety of interesting changes that have been subject to controversy by game enthusiasts all over the world. The first release being the main game Starcraft II - Wings of Liberty will be focused on Terrans. The second release will be an expansion set called "Heart of the Swarm" focused on the Zerg and finally "Legacy of the Void" will be focusing on the Protoss. In june last year it was announced that LAN support would not be included in Starcraft II - Wings of Liberty which will force players to connect through Blizzard's Battle.net servers.

Closed beta testing commenced from early February where initial beta keys sold for up to $400 a piece and was expected to last for 3 - 5 months. Beta keys are now available with pre-order packs for PC and Mac versions of the game until beta testing expires however the best RTS standard edition will only be shipped within the U.S, where the collectors edition will be shipped to selected countries outside of the U.S as well.

In order to sign up for Starcraft II beta you will have to register a Battle.net account if you don't already have one & submit a Beta profile through the new beta opt-in process. A beta profile is a snapshot of your current system specifications including how much RAM you have, Hard drive space, type of graphics card and other information so that Blizzard can test games on a wide range of systems. Once you have submitted your profile you may even be selected as an official beta tester and will be notified directly by email to test the best RTS games.

Venue For Commonwealth Games 2010

After a long time, the good news came for the Hospitality and Tourism Industry of India when it was declared that the Commonwealth Games of 2010 will be scheduled in Delhi, India. The athletes from various countries will be seen competing for many categories. This multi sport event will attract a horde of tourists. The Government officials, the travel agents, the hoteliers, the aviation industry all are ready to host the very exciting event.

Preparations For Commonwealth Games 2010

This is for the first time that India is hosting such a grand event of Commonwealth Games. And so no stone is left unturned. The establishment of Khelgaon, the Games Village, is a step taken for the promotion of these games in Delhi. This Khelgaon will offer a luxurious experience to the participants and the tourists. In addition to the Games Village, the Government has also constructed an artificial beach to attract tourists. Visitors will have the same experience of beach as they have of real sea beach.

Indian Tourism Industry

The Indian Tourism Industry has been resurrected through the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Delhi. The travel agents are all busy in making prior reservations for the foreign and domestic travelers. The huge influx of tourists will be managed through the new projects launched by the groups of hotels. The promotion of tourism industry is also important and so the Government has come up with a five year tax rebate plan.

Venue for Commonwealth Games 2010

These games will be held in Delhi India. There are different venues for different events. Some of the venues are:

- Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium will host opening and closing ceremony besides athletics, lawn bowls and weightlifting.
- Maj. Dhyan Chand National Stadium will have hockey match.
- I.G. Stadium Sports Complex will see the matches of wrestling, gymnastics and cycling.
- Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range will come alive with shooting.
- Tyagaraj Sports Complex will host netball.
- Talkatora Indoor Stadium will have boxing matches.
- Siri Fort Sports Complex will have matches of badminton and squash.
- Yamuna Sports Complex will host the match of table tennis.
- Delhi University will be perfect for the Rugby 7s matches.
- SPM Swimming Pool Complex will host aquatics.

AFC 2010 Playoffs Preview - Division Winners, Seeds 1 - 4

The AFC playoff picture is looking really interesting. While many would have anointed the Colts the favorite to win it a few weeks ago, there are a few reasons that shouldn't be the case.

These playoffs are pretty wide open in both conferences, and we're sure to see a few really exciting weeks of football during the games to come.

Let's take a look at the AFC playoff picture here. We'll examine each division winner that made it through, along with a quick analysis of their situation.

The #1 seed is the Indianapolis Colts. Having run out to a 14-0 start, they were clearly the strongest team in the AFC through and through. Losses in their last two weeks were somewhat deliberate since the team wanted to avoid injuries.

Still, it makes one wonder if the team may have been thrown off its rhythm and could come out showing signs of rust. The fact that many of their wins this season were close, come from behind wins, including one against New England, goes to show that the Colts can by no means be considered a lock.

Next in line are the San Diego Chargers, perhaps the hottest team in the NFL. Having won 11 straight games to close out the season, this team rebounded from a 2-3 record and ended up with one of the best records in the NFL. The Chargers have a great offense led by QB Philip Rivers, and could easily find their way to the Super Bowl this year.

Coming in at number three are the Cincinnati Bengals. With a great QB in Carson Palmer, great receiving talent in Chad Johnson, and an able running back in Cedric Benson, this team turned everything around this year and found their way to the post season. They'll meet the Jets in round 1, and they'll be hungry to avenge them for last week's loss.

The fourth seed is the AFC East champion New England Patriots. With Tom Brady back in tow, anything should be considered possible. They also played extremely dangerously against the Colts in Indianapolis and should have won that game, so they have every reason to believe they can win this game should they meet again.

Still, the Pats have looked a bit rustier than usual at times this season, losing some games they would have won in years past. Additionally, the injury of Wes Welker in week 17 and the loss of him throughout the playoffs will leave a gaping hole in their offense.

5. Grand Theft Auto (65 million units sold).

The fascinating aspect of the franchise is that it's based on our (traditionally humdrum) day-to-day routine. While the concept attracted a ton of critics, the game's success has proved them wrong. In fact, the first installment of The Sims (2000) has won several awards, and has become the #1 best-selling PC game in the history of the world. Who knew that eating and sleeping could be so much fun?

While successful cartoon characters often become featured in video games, sometimes the opposite happens. The Pokemon franchise was born in 1996, when Nintendo simultaneously released two Pokemon Game Boy titles.
